WHY GLOW FLOW CHEFS?
When founding our company, we knew we wanted to create a name for our brand that we deeply connected with. The words that kept coming back to both of us were glow and flow.
We’ve always been connected to the word “glow.” First, because we wanted to have that look; we wanted our skin to glow, to radiate light. As we became more entrenched in the wellness world and as our spiritual practices began to grow, we recognized that we not only wanted to glow on the outside, but on the inside as well. We wanted to shine bright, feel alive and energized, and we wanted our glow to enable us to share our light with others.
The other word that we connected deeply with was “flow.” Flow was what we felt when everything just seemed to go as we desired. Everything seemed to come easily. Time would escape us. There wasn’t friction or fear. We wanted more of this and we wanted it often. Flow came after meditations and calming yoga series. Flow came after long walks outside. Flow came when we felt connected to work, whether that be writing, brainstorming, talking to clients, or concocting in the kitchen. Flow came when we felt deeply happy, in alignment with our purpose, and fulfilled.
The word “chef” in our name has a broader meaning than its traditional use. We chose chef to denote that we are curators of products and works that help others reach their own version of “glow and flow.” Our creations include food and beverage products, programs, books, and more.
What we’ve realized is that we have the power to alter our minds and bodies so we can obtain glow and flow. WE have the power to do things that can change our thinking and the way we feel. It’s time to recognize YOUR power and YOUR abilities. That’s where we want to help.
Our brand was born out of our desire to share with others what we have learned over the years – the tools and techniques that have helped us reach our own personal glow and flow states. Our mission is to elevate and empower you to take ownership of your life, to take steps necessary for change, and to know that you are worthy of a life that brings you continuous joy and fulfillment.

Hi Friends, I’m Emily.
I offer support to women struggling with negative self-image, body dissatisfaction, and food drama.
Here are some things I want you to know:
- Your relationship with food can be easy
- Food and exercise should not run your life
- Diets will never help you achieve the long-term weight goals you desire
- It’s not just about food – it never has been and never will be
- Limiting beliefs are often at the root of disordered eating and body shame; uncovering these is key
- You are beautiful just the way you are today (in this minute, in this second, NOW)
Friends, you were put on this earth to do much bigger things than worry about weight and outer appearance. I want to help you leave old ways behind, so you can move on to much grander, cooler, impactful things!
Take this from someone who formerly struggled with restrictive eating habits, body shame, and discontent, and has recovered and left that limiting world behind.
For years I lived in a world of perfectionism, control and restriction. Like many women today, I felt a constant need to please, to impress, and to achieve. I placed immense pressure on myself around my image, my financial and career accomplishments, and my relationship success.
Have you ever looked at others and desired to be more like them?
This was me. I looked at friends and colleagues who were calm, relaxed, easy-going, and appeared content, and I longed to be more like them. I yearned for release from self-consciousness, fear, and a need for control, and deeply desired confidence, ease, and serenity. I desired to feel happy in my skin and satisfied with my achievements, but these feelings felt distant and downright inconceivable for someone like me. That was my viewpoint, “How could I be someone who lived in “flow,” without anxiety and fear when I had experienced those feelings my whole life?”
Trust me, it IS possible!
It took deep, personal introspection, work with therapists and coaches, and much more, for me to uncover my blocks and recognize that my perfectionist ways of going about life were only making my anxiety (and thus my life on the whole) that much worse.
When I finally discovered the intimate connection between food and life (aka, the direct correlation between the way people operate with food and the way they operate with life), my world changed. I was able to see so vividly that my controlling habits around food mirrored my ways of operating in life. I controlled everything and felt anxious without doing so.
I made the decision to use food as an example. I knew if I could see changes from releasing my control on food that I would be able to “loosen the leash” on other aspects of my life.
This is just what I did. And man, did it work! I immediately saw HUGE changes in my relationships and my state of happiness when I simply dropped the food drama (aka restriction and rules) and just ate – based on what my body desired and what would bring me the most pleasure.
Everything felt easier and lighter. My world opened up. As cliché, as that may sound, I felt that I suddenly viewed the world from different eyes. And these eyes were full of compassion, self-love, and respect.
Friends, I want the same for you. I want to guide you down this path. I want to help you release the control and see the immense (frankly unbelievable) changes that come as a result.
You were born to live a life of freedom, ease, joy, and deep fulfillment. Let’s get you there!

I have my fair share of certifications. I’ve received a lot of training and studied A LOT. I think my biggest contribution, though, are my stories. It’s my experiences that I want to share with others. It’s the learnings, the tools, the modalities that I’ve used, and continue to use, to overcome what I’ve been through, that I want to teach others. I’m not a fan of titles, but I listed mine above in case you are interested. What’d I’d prefer do is tell you my story.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a strong desire to help people feel happy. When I see people going through a tough time or unhappy, I have a burning desire to understand why – to really get to the root of the issue and to help them get to a better place.
It’s a bit ironic because just a few years ago, I didn’t know how to help myself get to that better place.
Due to what I can only equate to my fear of failure or not being good enough or not being the best at something, I put myself and my body in a state of stress and because of my constant go-go-go mentality, I was blissfully unaware that anything was significantly wrong. I felt decently happy, decently healthy and pretty successful. What I didn’t feel, was deeply fulfilled.
But, I didn’t know what to do to get off the hamster wheel that had become my life. Most significantly, I was afraid to make changes.
What helped me stop the perpetual spinning was yoga. As cliche as it may sound, yoga helped me discover and make friends with my calm mind. Yoga helped me recognize my mind yearned for rest and my body begged to be listened to.
As I started calming my mind and properly nourishing my mind and body, the world began to speak to me. I’d finish a yoga set and could write for hours. My desires began to shift to wanting to do — what I can only imagine is what I should have been doing all along — helping people feel good.
I’m certainly not there yet, but I know I’m on the path I should be venturing down.
Today, I’m doing what my heart tells me I should be doing – helping others awaken to their full, unique potential. Sometimes that’s life coaching to help people recognize their gifts and determine ways to integrate them into their lives. Sometimes that’s teaching Kundalini Yoga to elevate others to see their strength and build confidence. Sometimes that’s just being a friend with an open ear, so people can express how they’re feeling.
I want everyone to know they deserve to feel utter happiness and joy. This world is good, we just need to figure out how we can best serve and exist in it. I’d love to help you on your personal journey.
If you don’t stop to think about the life you’re living, you may not recognize the one you’re not living. STOP. BREATHE. LISTEN. AND FEEL.
We look forward to working with you!
